About Just for Kidz

Vision

We recognise the early experiences in a child life will affect how they develop. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that we ensure your child receives the love, security, stability, positive self-image and respect he/she deserves.

It is the policy of our organisation to meet the needs and abilities of all children who attend by promoting opportunities for challenge, success and independence in a safe environment. As parents you are integral to that success. In partnership we can provide the best possible learning experience for your child.

The team at Just for Kidz all work towards fulfilling the same vision:

  • Enable children to become confident, resourceful, enquiring and independent learners.
  • Foster children's self respect and encourage children to respect ideas, attitudes, values and feelings of others.
  • Show respect for all cultures, and in doing so, to promote positive attitudes towards other people.
  • Enable children to understand their community and help them feel valued as part of this community.
  • Help children to grow into reliable, independent and positive citizens.
  • Take pride in their work and work of others.

Attendance

At Just for Kidz, we believe that regular attendance is essential for children to remain settled and make the most of the learning opportunities available (see our Attendance Policy). All booked sessions are chargeable and claimed in full, regardless of sickness, absence, or non-attendance.

Opening Hours

We are open Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 6:00pm, 51 weeks a year (excluding bank holidays). As our nursery operates all year, we DO NOT offer Term Time only contracts or discounts. Our Staff

AWe believe our staff are our greatest asset. All team members are qualified, experienced, and passionate about working with children.

Our Nursery Practitioner and Senior staff hold appropriate qualifications, and approach their work with maturity and sensitivity. To maintain high standards, we provide ongoing internal and external training to develop their knowledge and skills.

This investment in our team supports low staff turnover, promoting stability and a secure environment for children.

We also accommodate a limited number of student placements, who are carefully selected and supervised by qualified staff.

We are committed to delivering a first-class childcare experience where children can thrive and parents have full confidence.

Safety

We have comprehensive written policies on all key areas of security, health, and safety, available upon request.

To maintain a safe environment, we ensure:

  • Appropriate staff-to-child ratios.
  • Staff know who is collecting each child.
  • All equipment and rooms are clean, safe, and secure.

All staff:

  • Are trained in First Aid and Health and Safety.
  • Are familiar with and follow all policies and procedures.
  • Take part in regular fire drills.

Our nursery is a smoke and vape free zone. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises by staff, volunteers, parents, or visitors.

Security

We use CCTV for the safety of our children, staff, and premises. It also supports training, learning, and legal processes.

No CCTV is installed in changing or toilet areas. Only appropriate vetted individuals are authorised to review and monitor CCTV footage, which is the Nursery Owners, Directors and Managers.

Safe Guarding

Every team member, from management to students, undergoes a DBS check to ensure they are suitable to work with children.

The welfare of children is paramount. All staff receive Basic Safeguarding training, and designated Safeguarding Leads have completed Advanced Safeguarding training.

Staff understand their responsibility to protect children both inside and outside the nursery. Concerns can be reported to our Designated Safeguarding Officer.

In line with legislation, we may share information without consent when it is in a child’s best interest. This may involve professionals such as social workers or safeguarding teams. See our Safeguarding Policy for full.

Illness

Phildren should not attend if they are unwell or have an infectious condition.

Parents will be contacted if their child becomes ill during nursery hours.

Please notify us if your child contracts, or is exposed to, any childhood illness.

Medication will only be administered if it has been prescribed and a parent has completed and signed our Medication Record Form upon arrival.
